About Peak Cashflow

Peak Cashflow was established in 2007 by Jim Small and Peter Stanton. We are both long established within the factoring and invoice discounting market, with over 50 years experience between us.

Importantly, we are fully independent, meaning we are not owned or operated by any major bank or financial institution. We have the financial backing of a major multinational funder to ensure that our company can grow and support you through the various challenges your business faces. But – because we are independent – this has many benefits for you. It allows us to maintain a close working relationship with your business, as well as giving us the opportunity to offer you truly bespoke invoice finance services. About Pete and Jim

Because we don’t employ client managers, your first point of contact will always be with the directors of Peak. You will soon get to know Pete and Jim very well, and build up a close long term working relationship.
Peter Stanton

Pete is based at our Birmingham office in the Jewellery Quarter. Pete spent 10 years working in the mid-market banking sector in both London and the West Midlands. In 1999, he left the banking environment to work in the invoice finance sector, progressing to Director of a medium-sized listed provider. Pete’s responsibilities include:

• New business acquisition
• Underwriting and client management across a wide portfolio
• Client care and maintaining the highest service levels within the industry

Born and bred in Lichfield, his family owned and operated heavy engineering businesses for over 100 years in the Black Country. Married with two teenage children, Pete is family-oriented and also a keen sports fan. Road cycling, sailing, golf, football and cricket. In his younger years, he ran numerous marathons and – in 2015 – rode 1000 miles from Birmingham to Murcia in southern Spain for charity, raising over £10k.

James Small

Jim is based at our Macclesfield office. He has worked at senior board level for a number of major financiers and is highly respected within the sector. He has over 34 years experience within finacial services, encompassing invoice finance, leasing and large ticket corporate finance. He has worked with many SMEs over the years and has realised a long-standing ambition in jointly establishing and managing an invoice finance business specialising in providing services to smaller SME;s. His specific responsibilities include:

• Ensuring that we deliver exactly what our clients require
• Day-to-day risk management

Originally from Sussex, Jim relocated to Cheshire 20 years ago and lives with his family near to our Macclesfield office which is situated close to the Peak District. He is a keen – although not rapid – runner, and enjoys tennis and hiking.
