Summer Update from Peter

There have been lots of things going on in the world of Peak over the last few months. This is why we thought that before everyone disappears for their summer holidays, we would provide a quick update.

Firstly, I would like to extend a warm welcome to two new members of the operations team; Shirley Ball and Carole Hunt in our Macclesfield office. Our new members now bring our total staff complement up to 10 people. We are really delighted to see consistent and steady growth within the business. Thus it remains absolutely imperative to us that the service levels are maintained at the highest levels. Therefore, introducing the right people and offering the best levels of training remains our number one priority.

Our credit control team continue to significantly outstrip the industry standard with average collection days running at 44. Credit control is a difficult art. As it remains key to clients that money is collected as quickly as possible to ensure their borrowing is not excessive. But must be carefully balanced against impacting on the relationship between our clients and their customers. We always ensure that debtors are chased by the same person at Peak, allowing the credit controller to build a working relationship with the debtors’ purchase ledger team. This approach really does work and our clients genuinely feel that we are part of their team. Not just an external factoring company.

New business has remained buoyant, with a wide selection of size and industry sectors joining Peak.

In the last couple of months we have acquired new clients operating in engineering, timber sales, hi-tech camera importation, recruitment, specialist cake manufacturing and health and fitness programmes in education. It has been a busy but very rewarding year so far.

Peak will always remain a company where the clients deal directly with the directors of the company. Immediate decision-making keeps us ahead of our competition day-to-day. A unique structure that will not alter.
